Building Permit Fees
Fees depend on various factors such as the type of construction, square footage, use of the building, etc. Click here to view the

Plan Check Fees
Plan check fees are due at the time of plan submittal. Permit fees are paid at permit issuance. Additional fees may apply according to the complexity of your project. Such as:

  • Additions of more than 499 square feet, which require school fees to be paid to the relevant school district and must be paid prior to permit issuance.
  • Park and recreation, transportation, traffic signal and impact fees, which are due at time of permit issuance.

Accepted Forms of Payment
The Building Division counter accepts ATM cards, checks, and Visa and MasterCard for amounts up to $2,000. If you prefer to pay cash, you may do so with the cashier located across the street at City Hall West. After fees have been paid, the Building Division will complete the permit process.

Fee Waivers
Certain Building fees may be waived for eligible Green or Energy Efficient construction. Click
