During the course of a snowstorm, operators and equipment are working around the clock removing snow and ice to provide safe and passable roadways throughout the City. The city’s snow plow routes do not include residential streets except on as needed basis or when the snow depth on the street is expected to reach 12 inches. Although major roadways are the first priority in snow and ice removal operations, we will place sand on icy non-priority or residential streets throughout the City as soon as possible after the storm ends and the regular snow plow routes are clear.
