A building permit is required for new construction and to remodel residential structures, including garages and sheds; fences; electrical; plumbing; heating/air conditioning installations or repairs; and exterior siding and windows. This list is not all-inclusive. Before beginning any work, send an online request or call 303.289.3790 to verify the need for a permit.

If emergency repairs are required, a permit application must be submitted to the Building Division no later than the end of the next working day.
