When someone applies for a permit to construct or move a building or structure, City staff must review the details of the plat survey of the property that is being improved. This is in addition to reviewing the plans and specifications of the proposed building.
The plat survey must be done by a licensed land surveyor or a civil engineer registered in the State of California, and submitted to the Building Inspection Division in the Permit Center in City Hall.
