A 24-hour care facility is defined as any family home, group care facility, or similar facility for 24-hour non-medical care of persons in need of personal services, supervision, or assistance essential for sustaining the activities of daily living or for the protection of the individual.
Fire and life safety requirements and building construction requirements vary depending on the type of facility. A fire inspection will be scheduled for the facility and a fire inspector will contact the business operator to schedule this inspection.
