A family day care or child care home:
- is operated in the licensee’s own home;
- provides non-medical care and supervision to 12 or fewer children in a home-like environment
- provides care for less than 24 hours
The Fire Department is the regulating authority for the life safety requirements of all child day facilities regarding building construction and fire protection.
A Fire Inspector will contact the business operator to schedule the fire inspection.
