A Fire Department permit is required to conduct open burning. Open burning of rubbish containing paper products is prohibited. Prior to any open burning, the Fire Prevention Office shall be notified.
Open Burning is:
- a bonfire
- a rubbish fire
- any other fire in an outdoor location
where the fuel being burned is not contained in an incinerator, outdoor fireplace, barbecue grill or barbecue pit.
