Affordable rental housing in Hayward is provided by various property owners. It is often necessary to put your name, current address and telephone number on a number of apartment waiting lists. Each apartment complex has its own waiting list and eligibility qualifications. You can get these by contacting each property management office.
The City has compiled a list of Affordable Rental Apartment Properties that have below-market rental rates because of federal and/or state financing. Eden Information and Referral (Eden I and R) also has a much more extensive inventory of lower rent apartment units.
