The Crime Analysis Unit uses technology and other tools to research crime data and suspicious activity to help identify crime trends taking place or at risk of occurring in the future. This process enables field officers and investigators to focus their efforts where they may be most effective. The information derived by the Crime Analysis Unit is published internally for resource allocation purposes, and publicly as a means to keep our community aware of important crime trend information.
