Communications to and relationships with all aspects of the Hayward community are of critical importance to the City Manager’s Office. Staff is committed to developing and strengthening the partnership between the City and each of its vibrant and unique neighborhoods; and to developing a robust economic environment for all to enjoy in support of a healthy city.
The Office directs Redevelopment and Economic Development efforts and programs for the City. The Office is dedicated to improved government transparency and to timely and clear communication on many fronts with all interested parties. The City Manager’s Office also assures that all written documents presented to the Mayor and Council or to the city’s customers are accurate, well-written, and complete.
The City Manager’s Office receives, tracks, and assures responses to issues reported to the City’s customers: residents, neighborhoods, agencies, and businesses. The Office assures that the City communicates with its neighborhoods, and makes it easy for neighborhoods to communicate with each other.
