Residents in single- and multi-family dwellings are provided with weekly collection of recyclables. The City has contracted with Waste Management of Alameda County to provide weekly curbside collection of recyclables. Residents may recycle:
- newspaper
- mixed paper - including junk mail, phone books, hard and soft cover books, catalogs, etc.
- food and beverage containers made of glass, metal and plastic (marked #1-#7)
- cardboard (4 x 4 foot pieces should be flattened and placed next to the cart)
- used motor oil in jugs provided by Tri-CED Community Recycling
- used motor oil filters in clear, sealable plastic bags provided by Tri-CED Community Recyling
- common household batteries in a clear, sealable plastic bag provided by Tri-CED Community Recycling
Fall 2009 - Residential Recycling Tips Spring 2009 - Residential Recycling Tips Summer 2009 - Residential Recycling Tips Single-family homes are also offered weekly curbside collection of food scraps, food-soiled paper and yard trimmings using the green cart provided by Waste Management of Alameda County.
Residents in multi-family dwellings may recycle many of the same items listed above.
