The Street Maintenance Traffic Division is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all City of Hayward street signs and painted street symbols and legends
To have a damaged street sign repaired/replaced, or an existing faded street symbol or legend repainted, please submit a service request or call the Street Maintenance Division at 510-881-7745.
New street signs, painted symbols, or painted legend installations are the responsibility of the Engineering and Transportation Division and need to be reviewed and approved prior to their installation..
Please submit a service request or call the Engineering and Transportation Division at 510-583-4735 to request a new street sign, symbol, or legend.
