Traffic Signals, Signs and Striping


Make a Service Request for:  Traffic Signals, Signs and Striping


Traffic control devices include traffic signals, street signs like stop signs and yield signs, striping, and pavement markings. Devices are installed only on public streets and within the public right-of-way. Devices for private streets are the responsibility of the property owner.

Once approved, requests for new traffic signs, pavement striping and marking, and curb painting may take up to four weeks. A new traffic signal may take up to one year or more to install. There is no charge to the requestor.

To request a new traffic control device, please fill out and submit a service request form located at the bottom of this page. Alternatively, you may also submit a written request. As part of your request, please include the following information:
  • your name, address, telephone number
  • reason for your request
  • suggested location for the new device
