The Hayward Unified School District (HUSD) employs School Crossing Guards to assist children in safely crossing the street on their way to and from school. The Crossing Guards are typically posted at major intersections where it is especially difficult to cross the street.
HUSD selects the intersections where Crossing Guards will be posted, and does the hiring of guards to work at these posts.
