Before digging, it is necessary to locate underground utilities in order to avoid damage. Contact Underground Service Alert (USA) at least two days before digging and provide:
- location of the work
- description of the work
- contact information
Also, the boundaries of the planned digging must be clearly marked in white paint.
USA provides the City with information about planned digs on a daily basis. City crews then mark the location of any water or sewer lines that exist within the boundaries of the planned work.
