Each year the Hayward City Council adopts sewer and water rates and charges for services and connections to the public utilities systems. The current rates can be found in 2009-10 Water and Wastewater Rates and the Master Fee Schedule.
Included are:

- new water service charges
- residential sewer service charges
- commercial and industrial sewer service charges
- wastewater discharge permit fees
- sewer connection fees
- miscellaneous charges
