Citizens Advisory Commission recommends how Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds of approximately $1 million are to be used each year. This involves reviewing applications for the funding from various groups, holding a funding hearing, and making recommendations to the City Council. The Commission also recommends priorities for the use of CDBG funds, identifies community problems, and monitors CDBG-financed projects.
Membership: Fifteen (15) members - Four-year term
Qualifications: At least 18 years old - Live in City limits - Registered voter
Meeting Schedule: Monthly - 3rd Wednesday - 6:30 p.m. at City Hall Additional meetings as needed
