How many items can I check out?
You can check out up to 10 DVDs. There is no check out limit on other items if you use a regular library card. If you have a provisional library card, you can check out one item.
How long can I keep the items I have checked out?
All items are checked out for 21 days.
How can I renew my items ?
You may renew items twice by bringing them to the library checkout desk, or by accessing  from a library computer or any Internet-ready computer. Any items with pending holds may not be renewed. At this time, telephone renewal is not available.
If I check out items at the Main library, may I return them to the Weekes Branch library?
Yes, Hayward Public Library materials may be returned to either location. For more information, contact the Main Library at 510-881-7983 or place a service request.
