What to do if the item I want is already checked out?
If an item is currently checked out or unavailable, you may place a hold by locating the item in the online catalog, then clicking the button.
Ask a librarian at the Information Desk if you need assistance.
Is there a charge to reserve an item?
No, placing a hold is free.
Will you contact me when my hold request is available?
Yes. You can choose to get a phone call, an email alert or a text message. If you have a valid email address on your library record, hold notices will be emailed. If not, you will receive a phone message. Be sure the library has your correct email address and phone number on file.
You can sign up to use text messaging to receive notices from the libary and to get a list of items you have checked out. Text the word SIGNUP to email@example.com to get started. See Text Messaging Alerts from the Library for more information.
