Water Rate Adjustment (Prop. 218)

On March 29, 2016, the Stockton City Council approved a resolution authorizing a 45-day Proposition 218 Public Notice for a proposed water rate adjustment.  

 

All property owners of record with water service provided by the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities Department were mailed a notice regarding the proposed rate increases and the Proposition 218 process. The notice includes information about a Public Hearing set for May 24, 2016, for the City Council to consider adoption of the proposed water rates. In addition, the notice includes information about why the water rate increase is needed and how property owners can file a written or verbal protest.
