Abandoned or Inoperable Vehicles (On Private Property)

Maintaining the quality of life in your neighborhood is one of Code Enforcement's main goals.  Abandoned or inoperable vehicles not only create visual blight  but also constitute a Public Nuisance. These vehicles are a fire and safety hazard. Storing inoperable vehicles in public view, on a driveway, carport or side yard area is not permitted in Huntington Beach.

 

To report an inoperable or abandoned vehicle on public property you may contact HBPD Traffic Bureau at  536-5663.

 

An inoperable vehicle is defined as any vehicle that is not "whole or complete" and cannot operate on a public street legally. A inoperable vehicle may be as simple as a vehicle with a flat tire, to a vehicle that is in parts.
