| Maintaining the quality of life in your neighborhood is one of Code Enforcement's main goals. Abandoned or inoperable vehicles not only create visual blight but also constitute a Public Nuisance. These vehicles are a fire and safety hazard. Storing inoperable vehicles in public view, on a driveway, carport or side yard area is not permitted in Huntington Beach.
To report an inoperable or abandoned vehicle on public property you may contact HBPD Traffic Bureau at 536-5663.
An inoperable vehicle is defined as any vehicle that is not "whole or complete" and cannot operate on a public street legally. A inoperable vehicle may be as simple as a vehicle with a flat tire, to a vehicle that is in parts.
