Signs may not block a street or sidewalk, and cannot be placed in a center median. Signs may not be larger than six square feet in size. They must be placed at least 150 feet away from any intersection and five feet from the edge of the roadway, unless they are located on private property. Signs cannot be attached to fences, telephone or traffic poles, utility boxes, vehicles or trees. Display hours vary depending on the type of sign. A permit is not required for real estate or garage sale signs.
