Building and Construction General Information

Constructing, adding on, or remodeling a building in the Town of Yucca Valley does not have to be complicated.  The Town's Building and Safety (B&S) department provides assistance and advice for anyone wishing to build either commercially or residentially in the Town.  The department always recommends that a state registered contractor be hired to coordinate all phases and types of construction for your project.  Indeed, with most commercial construction, it is a requirement.  Follow these required steps to insure a safe and compliant building.

1.  Submit three (3) sets of plans that detail the scope of the construction to Building and Safety for review and approval. 

2.  Following this step, a building permit will be issued for the scope of the construction.

3.  Set up inspections on all permits issued by the Building and Safety department.

4.  After all inspections have been completed and finalized, a Certificate of Occupancy will be issued so that the new commerical unit can be occupied.
