The City of Stockton Municipal Code requires all vehicles parked on the street to be operable, registered, and moved every 72-hours. If a vehicle is inoperable or unregistered, it must be placed out of public view and/or in an enclosed structure. Some vehicles may have expired tags, but the registration may be current with the DMV.

If an inoperable, unregistered vehicle is observed by an Officer, it may be cited as a violation of the Stockton Municipal Code. There may also be state vehicle code violations that apply.

To report an abandoned vehicle on the street, please fill out the service request below. Provide the license plate number and vehicle description, including make, model, and color. In the description, please indicate where the vehicle is located. For example, at the corner of (provide street names) or in front of (provide the street address). If information is left out of the report, it will take us longer to locate and address the issue.
